I offer group workshops like The Healing Potential of Sound, providing information about sound healing along with experiential learning practices. I also provide a group Sound Immersion, bathing participants in the sounds of flutes, singing bowls, gong, frame drum, and chimes. I partner with my wife, Susan Waterstone for Sound Savasana, a wonderful combination of gentle yoga and sound. All of these group experiences leave participants refreshed, relaxed, and energized, with experiences that carry into their daily lives.

Sound Immersion
Deep relaxation is a place of healing, and sound is a powerful tool to help us access that. David uses a variety of instruments and sounds to help you engage the parasympathetic nervous system and shift into deep relaxation. A brief guided meditation and grounding sequence will lead to bathing in the gentle, nurturing sounds of wind instruments, singing bowls, gong, frame drum heartbeat, chimes, and more, creating spaciousness and expansiveness. Bring yoga mats, bolster pillows, blankets, and whatever else helps you feel cushioned and comfortable lying on the floor.

The Healing Potential of Sound
Sound is always with us, both positive and negative. David will share information about the pros and cons of sound, and help us recognize “good” vs. “bad” sounds. We will learn about the science of sound and the brain, and feel the vibrations of different instruments that can provide positive vibrations, including tingshas, frame drum, wind instruments, crystal bowls, and Tibetan bell. We will be introduced to a humming practice, “Brahma Pranayama” (buzzing bee breath), to help us create our own healing vibrations.

You may choose to experience the workshop seated, if that is best for your body. No yoga experience required!
