FAQs About Sound Immersions
What is a Sound Immersion?
A "Sound Immersion" is my own version of what others might call a "sound bath." I use "immersion" to better indicate what happens. Those who attend are immersed in therapeutic sound, receiving the benefits of those sounds just by being present and open to the experience. No work required!
What do you mean by "therapeutic sound"?
All sounds have an effect on us. I use clear intention to create sounds that provide healing benefits. The combination of my intention, experience, and choice of different sounds can have benefits at the physical, mental, emotional, and energetic levels. Sound has an incredible ability to impact all of those areas.
Is the sound quality of a Zoom Sound Immersion any good?
Zoom has vastly improved as a platform for sound work. In addition to working with the audio settings for Zoom, I also have equipment that allows the true sound of my Zoom offerings to come through to recipients. Even in those rare moments when the sound does not come through as fully as possible, the energy of therapeutic sound can be felt.
What kind of sounds do you use? Are there any synthesizers?
I believe that acoustic instruments carry the best healing vibration for this work, so I do not use electronic instruments like synthesizers. Although live is preferred, the vibrations of therapeutic instruments still resonate through recordings and over Zoom. Many of the instruments I use have a high "hum." These overtones, which we may not consciously hear, carry the strongest healing energies. I also use a number of wind instruments in my work. I combine intention and breath energy with those sounds, for a more resonant potential. The silence I provide at the end of a Sound Immersion is also a powerful sound healing tool.
Is it ok if I fall asleep during a Sound Immersion?
Falling asleep during a Sound Immersion indicates deep rest. In fact, you might think you have fallen asleep (known as a "delta" brainwave state) when you have actually been in a "theta" state of healing.

Intention Breath Vibration
When we use intention and breath to create vibration,
we access the deep healing potential of sound and music.
