For over thirty years, I have created music that is meditative, relaxing, and recharging. You can find individual selections and full album downloads of my previous work under my name or the album title at iTunes and other download sites.
Below are some audio clips from a few select albums. You can find these recordings as physical CDs or stream or purchase albums or individual selections at iTunes and other sites.
Turtle Journey was created in 2015. It came from my work at the Karen Beasley Sea Turtle Rescue and Rehabilitation Center in Surf City, NC. For a number of years, I improvised therapeutic music for the sea turtles who were there recuperating. Whether it was for one turtle in a tank, or for all those in the "Intensive Care" room, I felt a connection to them, and they responded to me as I provided this service. "Gunnar's Song" was created at her tank, shortly before she was released. "Connecting" recognizes the connection those turtles have with each other and with those of us who come to see them. |
Earth Medicine has both vocals with lush accompaniments and meditative instrumental selections. Many vocal selections, like "Inye Tawa" and "Way-Ye Anaweyo" use "vocables", for the sound of it (and sometimes for a subliminal language connection). Instrumental selections use a variety of flutes. "Flute Meditation" and "Flute Dance" feature Native American-style flutes. Other instrumental selections feature shakuhachi, Anasazi, or ceramic flutes, along with piano, frame drum, synthesizer, piano, various percussion, and pre-recorded natural sounds.

Turtle Moon is a shorter album. All but the last piece are performed on a variety of shakuhachi flutes, most with no accompaniment. The pieces were composed out of improvisation, with little editing afterwards. They attempt to portray the beauty and mystery of a sea turtle hatching under the moonlight. |
Sound Labyrinth is a wonderful collaboration by the members of Sound Tree: myself on flutes and frame drum, Carole Greene on folk harp, and Suzanne Cook on angel harp. This angelic, meditative music was improvised and recorded live at the indoor labyrinth of The Church of the Servant, in Wilmington, NC. The first selection features shakuhachi and harp; the second has an Indian bansuri flute with harp and angel harp. |
Intention Breath Vibration
When we use intention and breath to create vibration,
we access the deep healing potential of sound and music.
